RIP Alexander McQueen. Your fashion will forever be my inspiration.

some three years ago

three years ago, I was totally lost in the world of make-believe. I would skip class because of an all-night-'til-break'o-dawn party and I would just end up waking up to a hot afternoon doing nothing but to prepare for another drinking and party session. I partied todo hard. I don't want to go back to the life I lived three years ago but I want my fearless energy to come back to me.

I styled "The Queen"

While Pam was away for HK, I styled Judy Ann Santos for Failon Ngayon. She's one of the most genuine person I know from showbiz and when I say genuine, I mean free-spirited, carefree and loving.

Judai is wearing a lace top and high-waist skirt from Zara, Marni shoes and Mango accessories.

I also styled her when she made a surprise visit inside the Big Brother house. She wore a Mango top, Zara jeans, Pedro Garcia shoes and SM accessories.

some sort of portfolio

Here's a link to all (well, almost!) of my styling gigs. I'm trying to keep everything in here just so I have some sort of backup for my photos since my system has been crashing all the time sine the heavens knows when.

Okay, here's not to jinx my (or our, 'cos we're a group) of winning. Let me relay to you the idea through photos.

My Grammy's Best Dressed TOP 5

Beyonce in Stephanie Rolland showed her curves without flashing too much skin and her signature shimmering ensembles!

Taylor Swift in Kaufman Franco classoc gown made her stand out among the frou-frou crowd.

Rihanna in Elie Saab showed her statuesque figure without bringing in her supposedly edgy-over-the-top look. So fresh!

Pink in Tony Ward Haute Couture made a good choice of spilling ombre on a seemingly outdated dress. It's really, after all, the one who wears it.

Jennifer Hudson in Victoria Beckham collection. Every time celebs hit the carpet, I always have a short-dress choice and this time, my choice is the classy-looking Jennifer Hudson! She is love!

Easy Breezy!

The Garage (Cris Cayzer, Lance Christopher and Jiro Shirakawa on the cover) feature finally came out. I feel a tad disappointed because I knew there were a lot of better-looking photos that should have been used. Pero still happy for being given this opportunity. Thank you, Eds, Deepa and Rey!

Also in Garage, the Human campaign I styled - Luis Manzano, ftw!

Here are photos of what I have been super busy with lately - work and play!!!

A beautiful family I can always run to, a loving and hardworking boyfriend who will always bring out the best in me, the best stylist boss in the name of Pam Quinones, and the fab of the fabs friends who bring meaning to every single gay thing in this gay life!

I'm home bound and still recovering from the unwell phase. I managed to cook buttered fettuccini with parmesan and cream cheese topped with sliced hotdogs and toasted sliced baguette for lunch!! The reason : Julie & Julia. I must cook dinner for Koko love later. We'll see. Plus my bestfriend Dee will be dropping by for dinner. This will be fun. I hope I get to be on my best the soonest!

resting

Battling the unproductive state is my main goal today. I have skipped work for two days already and it never feels funny when I miss out days of work. I still have the fever and flu. Koko went off from work yesterday to attend to me (thank you, love) which made me feel a lot better now. All I need is more rest plus continuous shots of meds.

Anyway, since I won't be having any scheduled shoots within the week, here's what I did the past few days.

Taal Church for a TVC shoot with Rious and Pam.

Guam Magazine shoot. Accessories by Gerry Sunga (that finger by Jigs Mayuga!)

Print shoot for a feminine wash with Judy Ann Santos.

January as of now

So to pass time, only because I'm done fixing everything for now, let's blog! Yey!

I'm doing the day one shoot of a TVC today. It's lunch break and I only had dessert and my tummy aches.

The studio where we keep all the stuff is now super-organized! Pam just got back from HK and she shopped for 6 pairs of lovelies (I don't know if she'd kill me for doing this) - here are some of them!

Manila-ah Girl

It feels super refreshing to be back in Manila after more than a week of spending a promdi life with my loved ones aka my family (and after gaining like 20lbs a day).

I missed Manila so much. Good thing Love (aka Koko my boyfriend who i love so dearly) and I had to do the groceries, clean a bit and eat a lot - quality time with him and revisiting what I have been doing here for the past so so months.

Work starts tomorrow and I am super excited. I've been missing Pam and the fashion/advertising environment.

Cheers!

Hello there, 2010

I find it easier to blog here. It's evidently more organized than my 3 year old blog but I'm still torn.

Give me a week or two.

Blogspot gives me more space, LJ gives more chismis. Haha.

But just to make sense, Happy New Year, Spectaculars!

I could snap and turn forever

They may be too dated already for many of our fashion friends but, until I actually get hold of them, these pairs of shoes will forever be in my fashion wish list.

Jeremy Scott x Adidas

Raf Simons x Dr. Martens

Coming on February

Appearances

A good friend and once a co-intern, Rosanna Aranaz had me featured on her first article for the Philippine Daily Inquirer. She's a fashion blogger and her super popular style blog had her being chased by a lot from the industry! :)

Then another from Meg Magazine featuring some of Manila's lookbook kids. I was set alongside styleanywhere, jujiin samonte among others.

Back to now

So what have I been doing lately?

After being confined in the hospital for three days, I can now honestly say that experiencing such moments in my life made me become more cautious with regards to my health and the environment I live in. Thank you to my family who are always there, maybe not really physically, to support me in every possible way. My friends Dee, Arbie, BG, Kar and Raymond who were there to keep me company and to those who visited and prayed for my health plus plus plus! To Koko for the love I came to genuinely realize when he had to run here and there just to make me feel that he will always be beside me. I love you all.

Chalk August issue had me as a fotog contributor plus a featured bright young manila kid. Funny sobra kasi the boys there were all sorta either hotness or insanely rich or sons of the famous! so it felt like I was misplaced! But still... But still!!!

Now with work, Pam is really the bomb. Although a TVC shoot was canceled, this week I got to work with Charlene Gonzales for a magazine and Iya & Drew for a catalog shoot. Although people had me at being jaded about celebs and personalities within a year or two, I know that when that day comes, my memories of being with these few kindhearted public figures will remind me that we should always keep our feet on the ground and learn each day.

OMG ang cheeseball na nitong entry. I haven't updated this sort of a secret blog but believe me, I have been through a lot since God knows when. I'm just praying for everything to turn out fine - as planned and for everyone to be healthy and happy.

Basta, good vibes everytime. For happiness and inner peace.
