it's a wrap!

After putting almost everything together, we finally finished shooting our entry to the Velvet 'tribute to the Oscars' exhibit. I swear I worked my ass off on that shoot because I had to gather everything from the clothes, accessories down to the hair extensions (since no hairstylist would want to do it) and props! The experience was a major learning experience that's why I am feeling so blessed now that we're done.

overdue!

belated valentines greetings!

from,

wait lang!

We are not doing the velvet-oscars competition anymore and it's really breaking my heart. I wish I had more choices. But things can surely get more confusing with too many options. I guess sometimes there really are opportunities that only come as an unexpected, spoiled, needless false alarm.

Le sigh.

human confession

I always feel giddy when I pass by the first ''real' billboard I styled along EDSA - Kamuning. Never have I imagined how big of a deal it is to actually be a part of something literally and figuratively big! (-:

email sent!

I just got home from a product shoot I did for a magazine to help out my good friend Happy Lopez. It's been so tiring these past few days but at the end of the day, I still feel the high of doing what I am deeply passionate about. I am applying for a new job (well, not really new because it's still in line with what I do now - the only difference is I get to focus on Men's fashion) and I'm praying hard that I get this. I remember Pam telling me that this will be a good training ground for me to learn and experience the basics. I'm hoping I get the slot!!!! The secret + prayers + talking to my guardian angel must work! (:

Good vibes, please!

sayang!

RIP Alexander McQueen. Your fashion will forever be my inspiration.

some three years ago

three years ago, I was totally lost in the world of make-believe. I would skip class because of an all-night-'til-break'o-dawn party and I would just end up waking up to a hot afternoon doing nothing but to prepare for another drinking and party session. I partied todo hard. I don't want to go back to the life I lived three years ago but I want my fearless energy to come back to me.

I styled "The Queen"

While Pam was away for HK, I styled Judy Ann Santos for Failon Ngayon. She's one of the most genuine person I know from showbiz and when I say genuine, I mean free-spirited, carefree and loving.

Judai is wearing a lace top and high-waist skirt from Zara, Marni shoes and Mango accessories.

I also styled her when she made a surprise visit inside the Big Brother house. She wore a Mango top, Zara jeans, Pedro Garcia shoes and SM accessories.

some sort of portfolio

Here's a link to all (well, almost!) of my styling gigs. I'm trying to keep everything in here just so I have some sort of backup for my photos since my system has been crashing all the time sine the heavens knows when.

I need vintage revolvers

Okay, here's not to jinx my (or our, 'cos we're a group) of winning. Let me relay to you the idea through photos.

My Grammy's Best Dressed TOP 5

Beyonce in Stephanie Rolland showed her curves without flashing too much skin and her signature shimmering ensembles!

Taylor Swift in Kaufman Franco classoc gown made her stand out among the frou-frou crowd.

Rihanna in Elie Saab showed her statuesque figure without bringing in her supposedly edgy-over-the-top look. So fresh!

Pink in Tony Ward Haute Couture made a good choice of spilling ombre on a seemingly outdated dress. It's really, after all, the one who wears it.

Jennifer Hudson in Victoria Beckham collection. Every time celebs hit the carpet, I always have a short-dress choice and this time, my choice is the classy-looking Jennifer Hudson! She is love!

Easy Breezy!

The Garage (Cris Cayzer, Lance Christopher and Jiro Shirakawa on the cover) feature finally came out. I feel a tad disappointed because I knew there were a lot of better-looking photos that should have been used. Pero still happy for being given this opportunity. Thank you, Eds, Deepa and Rey!

Also in Garage, the Human campaign I styled - Luis Manzano, ftw!
